From Rigby to Island Park

Family First Dental has one office. It’s at 286 E Moody Rd, Suite F, in Rexburg. But our patients don’t all live in Rexburg. Families drive in from Rigby, Sugar City, Salem, St. Anthony, Ashton, and Island Park.

This page is for them. It covers who we see, how to plan the drive, and where to find the page for your town.

One Office, One Team

We don’t have satellite offices. Every patient sees Dr. Craig Stout and the same team, wherever they drive from. Your records, X-rays, and history stay in one place. Dr. Stout has 20 years of experience as a dentist. He grew up in Blackfoot, so eastern Idaho isn’t new to him.

Towns We Serve Near Rexburg

Rexburg is home base. We see BYU-Idaho students, young families, and people who’ve lived here all their lives. If you live near campus or the temple, see our page for patients near the Rexburg Idaho Temple.

Rigby is about 20 minutes southwest on US-20. Many Rigby families work in Rexburg or Idaho Falls and need an appointment after work. Our dentist serving Rigby, Idaho page covers the drive, insurance, and well water.

Salem sits just north of Rexburg, and Sugar City is a short drive northeast. See our pages for Sugar City dental care and our dental office for Salem, Idaho patients. We also have pages for the 16th East corridor in Sugar City, Heritage Park, Rink 99, and the Sugar-Salem Moody Cemetery area.

St. Anthony is northeast of us on US-20, in Fremont County. We don’t have a separate St. Anthony page yet, but St. Anthony families are welcome here.

Ashton and Island Park are farther up US-20. Island Park is the longest drive for most of our patients. If you’re coming that far, tell us when you book. We can schedule family members back to back, so one trip covers everyone.

Planning the Drive

Here are our full hours. We’re open Monday from 8 AM to 7 PM and Tuesday from 9 AM to 7 PM. Wednesday and Thursday run 9 AM to 5 PM, Friday 7 AM to 3 PM, and Saturday 8 AM to 1 PM.

What Patients from Every Town Come In For

Most families from out of town come for the same things local families do. That means cleanings, fillings, crowns, and same-day emergency care when a tooth breaks. We see kids age 4 and up.

A few services are worth the drive on their own:

Why Families Drive Past Closer Offices

There are good dentists closer to some of these towns. For families who make the drive, it usually comes down to after-work hours, seeing their own X-rays on a screen, and one team that knows the whole family. Our guide on how to choose a dentist in Rexburg covers what to look for in any office.

New to Family First Dental?

Your first visit starts with an exam and X-rays, so we can see the full picture before we talk about treatment. Our new patient exam page explains what to expect. Bring your insurance card, a photo ID, and a list of any medications you take.

If another office gave you a treatment plan, bring that too. Our second opinion consultation lets us go through it with you on screen, and there’s no pressure to change dentists.

Dental Emergencies When You Live Out of Town

A broken tooth is harder to handle when you live a long drive away. Call before you get in the car. We’ll tell you how soon we can see you and what to do on the way. After hours, the same number reaches our answering service.

If you have trouble breathing or swallowing, or swelling that’s spreading toward your eye or neck, don’t drive to us. Go to the nearest emergency room or call 911.

Insurance and Payment

We accept Delta Dental, MetLife, Blue Cross, Guardian, DMBA dental plans, GEHA, United Healthcare, and Principal. Call with your card, and we’ll check your benefits before you drive over.

No insurance? Ask about the Family First Dental Membership Plan, or financing through Cherry and WellCredit.
