A veneer is a thin shell of porcelain. It bonds to the front of your tooth. It covers the part people actually see. Veneers work well for a handful of common problems:
Porcelain is stain-resistant. Coffee and soda won’t dull it the way they dull natural enamel. Most porcelain veneers last 10 to 15 years, sometimes longer, with normal care. The American Dental Association notes that a veneer covers only the front of a tooth, not the whole tooth like a crown does.
Here’s the part a lot of offices skip. Veneers aren’t for everyone. And they aren’t always the answer.
First, whiten before you veneer. You can’t whiten porcelain later, so the shade gets locked in the day it goes on. Active patients here get free whitening for life. So we usually brighten your real teeth first, then match your veneers to that brighter shade.
Second, veneers are permanent. We remove about half a millimeter of enamel to make room for the shell. That enamel doesn’t grow back. A veneer is a one-way street, and we’ll tell you that up front.
Third, sometimes dental bonding is the smarter call. For one small chip, bonding costs less and goes on in a single visit. We’d rather point you there than talk you into something bigger than you need.
And if you grind your teeth at night? You’ll want a night guard. Grinding wears veneers down fast. We check for that before we ever pick up a drill.
Most veneer cases take two to three visits.

You see the plan on the screen, not just hear about it.Fluoride treatments are a preventive measure designed to strengthen tooth enamel and protect against tooth decay. During the treatment, a concentrated fluoride solution is applied to your teeth, which helps to remineralize weak areas of enamel and reverse early signs of decay. This treatment is particularly beneficial for children, as it helps in the development of strong, healthy teeth, but it is also advantageous for adults at high risk of cavities.
We remove that thin layer of enamel and take an impression. You wear temporary veneers while the lab builds your real ones.
Your porcelain veneers bond into place. We check your bite, polish them, and send you out the door. They should feel like your own teeth in a day or two.

Paying over time is easy. We offer financing through WellCredit and Cherry, and we accept Delta Dental. New patients start with a $79 exam and X-rays, with no commitment to anything after.

One thing people forget: you can still get a cavity under or around a veneer. So your regular cleanings still matter. The veneer covers the front, not the whole tooth.

The ADA has warned about unlicensed “veneer technicians.” Veneers involve permanent changes to your teeth, so they should only be placed by a licensed dentist who checks your bite and your gum health first.
