Not everyone has dental insurance. Students, new grads, people between jobs, and folks who work for themselves often go without. Skipping the dentist can feel like the cheap choice. It usually isn’t. Here’s how to see a dentist without insurance in Rexburg.
Why Waiting Costs More
A small cavity is a quick, simple filling. Left alone, it can grow until the tooth needs a crown or even a root canal. Each step up costs more and takes more time.
Regular cleanings and exams catch problems while they’re small. That’s where you save the most.
Option 1: Our In-House Membership Plan
For patients without insurance, we offer an in-house membership plan. You pay our office directly instead of an insurance company. It covers your routine care through the year, and it gives you discounts on other treatment.
Here’s how it compares to insurance:
- You pay the office, not an insurance company
- Routine care through the year is included
- You get discounts on other treatment
Ask our front desk to walk you through what’s included and the current price.
Option 2: Payment Plans
Need a bigger treatment, like a crown or an implant? We offer payment plans through Cherry and WellCredit. They let you split the cost into monthly payments. Each one has its own terms.
See the Problem Before You Pay
We use AI-assisted X-rays and show them on a large screen in your room. You see the same images Dr. Craig Stout sees, so you know exactly what you’re paying for. We also go over the cost before any treatment begins. No surprises.
Free Extras That Help
Every patient gets a free full-mouth digital wellness scan.
Active patients also get free whitening for life. You just keep up with your regular cleanings.
Does Family First Dental Take Medicaid?
No, we don’t accept Medicaid. If you’re on Medicaid, we’re happy to suggest offices in the area that take it.
If you do have private insurance, we work with many plans, including Delta Dental, MetLife, Blue Cross, Guardian, and DMBA. Call and we’ll check your coverage.
For BYU-Idaho Students
At BYU-Idaho? The membership plan is a simple way to stay on top of cleanings while you’re in school. We’re open Saturdays and until 7 PM on Mondays and Tuesdays, so you can come in around class.
No insurance? No problem. Call Family First Dental at (208) 400-9946 to ask about our membership plan, or book online.
